The Challenge
We were approached by the team at Orbit Beers to design a new e-commerce-focused website that shone a light on the Orbit experience. From their delicious range of music-inspired beers to the taproom atmosphere on their beloved monthly vinyl nights, this site needed to tell the Orbit story in an engaging, immersive way.
Our Approach
After visiting Orbit HQ, we set our sights on bringing the feeling of the taproom to life. Using warm textural elements found in the space, such as natural wood, cardboard, and vinyl records, we recreated the raw, analogue feeling of the brewery in a clean and contemporary way.
We developed a more muted supporting colour palette inspired by the interiors of the taproom itself, which, when combined with the natural textures and subtle patterns gleaned from their muso-inspired brand elements, created a clean and fun evolution of the hero Orbit brand identity.
With a goal of driving more website sales, delivering a slick, engaging e-commerce experience was key. Our carefully crafted visual design allows Orbit’s products to take centre stage, guiding users through the range of delicious beers, events, and merch. Slight rollover animations add a sense of playfulness that echoes the brand's personality without being too distracting.
The finished product is a warm and engaging digital experience that’s intuitive, friendly, and approachable, which communicates the most important thing – the fun and relaxed spirit of the taproom, and their damn delicious beers.
